FEATURED EXCEL HOME PROJECT: THE MODULES AT TEMPLE TOWN

File Under: General by Excel Team

Many of you might know that single family residential projects represent just one part of the Excel Homes workload. Truth is, we also do a lot of commercial residential work. Take the recently completed 72-apartment project we built in Philadelphia, for example.

Appropriately named “The Modules at Temple Town” (near Philly’s Temple University), the 60,000-square-foot building is the largest single structure Excel has ever created. It’s also one of the largest LEED for Homes buildings in the country.

The building was designed by Interface Studio Architects and, despite its size (89 modules went into the structure), it took only 11 months from concepts until the facility was ready for people to move in.

Rent for a private bedroom in an unfurnished apartment is $650 per month. Not bad, and if you were one of the many who reserved a spot before April 30, your apartment came with a free bicycle. The bike is a nod to the building’s environmentally friendly overtones, which include a green roof.

True to its modern roots, The Modules even has its own Facebook page. Feel free to check it out, and also check out Excel’s site for more project information and a photo gallery.
